I've had my share, interested in knowing who else hits this milestone on a regular basis.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

I have done 12-18,000 a season (approximately late March to late November) for the last several years...basically since I got a 750 5 years ago.  I have only done about 7000 so far this season, mostly due to not riding as far to work and my main bike has been quite undependable.
If it works good, it looks good...

My best is only 7,000 which included a fantastic trip to Colorado.

I used to do is that every summer. In the 70,s and early 80,s
 I put 5000 on in a month on my fresh chopper....
 In 09 I put 2000miles, in a week...on an only ridden around town about 40 miles before I hit the road on it bike.
 Similar trip in 07, on my strutted 750.... Both times first roadride in over a year..
