Well that rotor looks like it bolts on to the rear.  Its not a 650 front rotor.  No 650 came with a rear disk.  Front looks like mine.
If you look at the front see the holes for the disk are "between" the rivits.  On a single disk comstar the holes are right next to the rivits.

What did they come off of?   Is that rotor for the rear?

the rear is from an 82-83 CB900F, and the front is from an '81 750F... the rotor looks different because its companion caliper is a dual-piston...

I undersdand the dual pistons after 82 but look at how it mounts.   Looks like it bolts to the rear not the front.

Are you sure about the rotor? The larger hole and wider bolt pattern does make it look
like the rear rotor. You might have put it down without realizing it.

Talking to CBer about these wheels brought up an interesting question. This set of wheels was set up with a discs front and rear. I have disc up front so the front will work, but i have drum on the rear. Will my drum brake unit bolt up to this disc wheel? Or will I need to find a Comstar that originally had drum brakes on the rear? Or was this ever an available combo?

The 650 with Comstars had the drum brake and you're either going to have to get a wheel with a drum brake or go through the process of adapting the rear disc brake to your bike (could be quite involved) The wheels I have are like yours except that mine are off of a 650 and therefore has a drum brake in the rear. I plan on using mine though. Good luck.  Later on, Bill
