Side view.

Lots more work to do but at least its looking like a real dragbike at this point.

Need to install the rotors so we can set up the brakes. Relocate the battery box and weld some tabs on for the nitrous bottle bracket. Also have to fabricate and weld on some tabs for the fork stops.

Have to order some chromemoly tubing to stiffen up the wheelie bars. Once all this work is done, i'll be able to take it back home to my shop, disassemble the whole thing and take the chassis and bars to have them powdercoated. The wife is trying to figure out what color she wants the body painted and then I'll be starting on the prep work.

Still waiting on the machine work for the motor. Sleeves came in last week. Waiting for MTC to drop ship the pistons. Time is slipping by- hoping to get done before the first race of the season.

Stay tuned.

Just got lucky and made a deal with a fellow racer from Canada. He needed a set of 40mm Flatslides and I needed a slider clutch for this bike. He had a slider sitting on a shelf and I had a mint set of Mikuni's wrapped up in the cabinet of the tool chest. I upped a little cash and we made a trade. He's happy, and so am I.

Running into an issue with brakes now. It seems PMFR has not opened up shop again in its new Florida location. This means no one has brakes in stock yet. I'll be shopping for used on Evilbay soon.

New pistons came in today from MTC. Had to send them back. Wrong dome- KZ instead of 45 degree GPZ. Not a happy camper.

Got a box from Canada with some parts the other day. Did some horse trading with a fella i met on Facebook. We got to talking about Kawasaki's and ended up making a trade for a set of Mikuni 40mm flatslides i had for this slider clutch. The wife's new build is slowly accumulating much needed parts.

The machinist bored the cases and also installed the new sleeves in the block last week. He'll do the final surface on it this week and o- ring it once he bores the sleeves for the new pistons. Hopefully MTC will have them to me no later than tuesday.

More to come this week- stay tuned !!

Haven't updated in a while. The machine work was going a bit slow on the motor parts but we've gotten things in full swing. Hope to pick all the bits and pieces up this weekend and start to trial assemble the engine next week. No more progress was made on the chassis pending the engine work, but that'll pick up next week also. Hopefully i'll have this project done within 3-4 weeks in time for the first Man Cup race in Valdosta.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! Pictures to come.

Thats a GPZ, bath tube style head with 40mm intake/33mm exhaust valves- all stainless of course- its been chamber matched to the pistons for max compression. Will be using a set of Cammotion cams; .507/.485 lift. Those are MTC 85mm pistons and a no name o-ringed big block. A 1-2-3 auto GPZ 5 speed tranny sitting in the Mark II cases with APE heavy duty main and cylinder studs and will be connected to an MTC slider clutch assembly.

Finally got the roller back from the machinist. Brake calipers mounted, new wheelie bars done, frame tabs welded in, battery box fabricated, nitrous bottle bracket done and other miscellaneous work completed like the friction-steering damper. I also weled on a few other brackets when i got it home. Its been take back apart and i dropped it off to the powdercoater last week. Hope to get it back in a week or so and then i can do the final chassis assembly and start wiring up the electronics. Hope to begin working on the engine this week.

Yeah, i know, pictures or it didn't happen. Here's a few where i'm trial fitting the nitrous components and ignition controller.

Cleaning the wheels up after i dropped the chassis off to the powdercoater.
