Though I am really not a Nascar fan, I am really looking forward to the 500. Stev-O you are right, it's something I wanted to experience. Tickets bought today, turn Two Tower, Section M, Row 51. Thruxton rental will be handled tomorrow so stay tuned for the details.

Good decision.  Although I haven't been to Daytona Speedway, I have been to a Nascar race at Texas Motor Speedway, would rather go to Daytona.
Be sure to ride the Thruxton on the beach.....

Thruxton reserved.
Called MMR and talked to Frank and it couldn't have been easier. Gave him my DL info and credit card to reserve. No charges until I am in front of them when it is delivered to me. Yes, they will deliver the bike to me! I will already be in Tavares, FL which is 45 min west of Orlando and it will cost another $45 to deliver. They also put a hold on $1000 insurance deductible on your card. Not charged but just held against your credit line. All in all, the price is comparable to what the V-Rod would cost and its expensive at about $120 a day. Everything about this sport is expensive! The trip is going to be relatively cheap since I'm officially traveling on business so no airline tickets of hotels at my expense.

Side note: I really tried hard to rent bikes on the Isle of Man the last two years but the price was outragous! If anybody here comes up with a plan for the worlds premere road racing event., let me know!
