I think any exhaust made to fit a CB750 will fit a Seeley? I have no idea what my exhaust is; it has been suggested that it may be a Winning, due to it's similarities to a Kerker. The original muffler was supported with a piece of 1/8" thick flat-bar connected to the frame with a rubber lined clamp. Unfortunately, the clamp was placed over the Reynolds 531 decal, and destroyed it, or most of it. :(
Perhaps you could replace the mufflers with something more available, and retain the down-pipes?

Hello scottly,

The original Seeley set-up has the "2-1" as part of the actual silencer, most systems I have seen on my web search it's the headers that go "2-1" and the silencer has a single tube inlet.  Finding a silencer to match up to the Seeley headers is on-going.   I suspect I will need a complete system or get replicas of the Seeley silencer made.  Of course I am still trying to separate the silencers from the headers, they are firmly stuck in place after 14 years of not being disturbed  ;D

Colin Seeley was kind enough to sign a copy of the Classic Bike magazine feature for me.  A nice addition to the bike history, I think he liked the article too.

Gez Kane's write up was pretty good, I think he captured what the Seeley Honda was all about and really enjoyed his brief ride. A big thanks to Colin Seeley himself for signing the article, probably made the copy worth £50 on eBay  ;D.  The nicest thing is it adds to this machines history, as one of only six bikes built by Seeley it is worth preserving.

I received a letter confirming the authenticity of my bike from Colin Seeley today.  A great addition to the bikes history and well worth the donation to the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Trust.  Thank you Colin  8)

Just have a few small things....but those take all the time....

Has just been buried in the back of my storage unit for almost a year.

Hi all. Some info and a request...

Good news, I'm getting Axl's Seeley Register website re-made, so that it can be updated with the bikes that have appeared over the last 7 years or so - I will be borrowing all the info from it and adding any others too (it is impossible to add anything to the current website as only Axl had access to it).

The request- the web developer would like some extra photos of Seeleys to use on the new site, on the home page etc. He needs higher quality images, say 10MB file size or larger, and asked for photos of about 6 different bikes, ideally some static shots and some of them being ridden. One or two photos of each bike would be enough. Has anyone got any nice photos we could have? The designer can edit out any unwanted backgrounds etc., as long as the bike itself is clear & the photo is fairly high res.

Your bike is gorgeous, by the way. Please replace/repair/conserve the original exhaust system. Originality on such an exeptional bike is everything!

Hey Scottly, I'm just tryingt to renegotiate the size with him, he's away for a few days tho.  I think he normally deals with pro photographers that send him 50mb+ photos, so hopefully his version of small can be re-sized...

What length shocks do you guys all run?

Contact Wilbers, they have a shock I developed with them when I was racing the bike. It is longer than standard, and the damper rate is perfect for street use. I always loved those shocks!!!

Hello MCM,

You also have a sweet looking Seeley  8).  I do like the parallel pipe style of the exhaust.  Yes I have conserved the original silencers, unfortunately they had suffered quite bad internal corrosion to the point it was only the chrome holding them together.  See result of the first time I gave the engine a good workout  ;D


I did explore getting them repaired but they were just as thin in other places and would never last (even if they could have withstood the re-chroming process).  They would be OK on a show Queen but I would like to think there is a bit more life to come from bike and rider  ;D

I think it has been mentioned that a donation to the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Trust, usually in the region of £50 GBP is appreciated by Colin for providing a letter of authenticity.  The Trust buys medical equipment and then donates to a hospital so all your donation goes to a good cause. No overheads, Colin and Eva do not even take expenses.

LOL, my bike got another photo in Classic Bike magazine (Jan 2017 issue) as part of their 2016 review.  It's getting more exposure than Kim Kardashian  ;D (or whoever she is)

The oft used internet phase "attention seeking whore" might well be applicable, Thomas  ;D   it is a buzz to see your bike in print even if you yourself have only done a bit of cleaning and polishing.  The machine and Colin Seeley are the stars   8)

I have a genuine Seeley Honda 750 dual seat that would look nice on your bike scottly  8)



It was bought with the original bike but I am not sure it was ever fitted.  it has unfortunately a burn/melt mark on the other side of the seat cover, but nothing that could not be easily sorted.
