I'm on spring break this week and am devoting all of my time to getting my bike running right. My plan was to pull the carbs and soak them properly in a can of carb dip, but upon pulling the gas tank off something told me i should check and see if there was any debris floating in the gas, lo and behold when i drained the gas from the tank i found quite a bit of these tiny orange flakes. I'm assuming it to be rust? One of the first things i did when i bought this bike was to de-rust the tank and line it with Red Kote.
Attached is a pic of the right side wall on the inside of the tank. Did i not do a good enough job of lining the tank? If so, what can i do now?
When i drained the bowls of the carbs i found quite a bit of debris and more orange flakes.
