I get Napa gold filters. I like spin ons because the quality ones have a pressure release so if they stop flowing and filtering oil they close the valve and the oil only circulates in the engine, that way it doesn't starve for oil and burn up. Never had a problem sealing. I've changed oil for years on cars and bikes of all years and never had or heard of a failure. Use a quality filter, put a little oil on the oring and put it on hand tight with some muscle. Never had a problem with that method
