It's in pieces, but turns over. That's about all I know for now.

Seeing that its a low 900 serial number and it has some of its original parts I would take a guess at $5000+/-..  Looks like the front fender is wrong, pretty big dent in the tank, and it needs exhaust pipes,  its going to cost quite a bit to bring this to the $30,000 if you even can.  I feel most of the high dollar sandcast bikes are all original and originality is was brings their value up.  But thats just my opinion.

Being they were made in different factories and then mated later I'm surprised the engine and frame numbers are within 1. Never seen them that close before and never seen a numbers matching CB750.

He has the asterisk so the numbers I believe are in the 900's not the 90's. But you are correct even if they are within 10 or so that is very close. A 900 bike is still considered low vin so should command a better price. Make sure the engine cases are good around the sprocket and if that airbox is not cracked consider that a bonus also.

Make it a long term project and think of it as a long term investment with exponential return.

You are correct. The VIN"s that  year were in the 1000000's. Still to be within 19 is pretty unusual.

Seems to me Imigo is the potential buyer, not selling.

Here's one in AZ that was posted a month ago for $9500...

The numbers are exactly 8 apart. I'm calling him later today. It may be more than I can handle, but we'll see.

That was asking price. Guy is delusional if he thinks he can get anywhere near that for a basket case missing some substantial parts like  gas tank, headlight bucket and fork ears, sidecovers, air box and carberators as well as other smaller components. Doesn't know if it runs. He's trying to price it for what the part out would bring. Good luck with that sale.

Agreed, that was a high asking price and it appears that it hasn't sold.  Just wanted to show Imago what a similar bike is listed at, even if the price was unrealistic.

Just spoke to the owner, who lives in Quebec and has owned it since the early 70's.

The engine is free, the airbox and side covers are fine, and he was unaware that that the chains were prone to breaking and damaging cases. Not the case here.

Only problem? A fellow from Cambridge, Ontario just picked it up for his asking price of $4000.00.

I was the first person to request photos and he said if i had called him sooner, he would have held it for me.

I really need to move on these finds sooner!

The numbers are random, there was a line of bikes and a room full of engines. almost anything could happen. There were rumors of a few 1014100 series bikes in France with sandcast engines too. They may have been repaired and put back in line.
