Rear set location/Tarozzi/Rear peg location.
« on: May 05, 2015, 12:09:26 PM »
Just curious to know if anyone has tried either location for rear sets, the tarozzis' location (from fastfromthepast) or a DIY setup that uses the rear peg location?  What are your thoughts or conerns.  Is the tarozzi rear sets far enough back for your liking?  Is the rear peg location too far back?

The most important consideration should be your comfort and body position -- which also takes into account the type of tank you are using, the types of control bars (clip-ons, clubmans or other bars) and your body.

Well the rear peg location feels great to me...  But at the same time I kind of feel like its a little off balance and too far back.  Like if I was going to stand up on the bike for some reason, it would be a little awkward.

I have a cb350 twin with rearsets basically where the Tarozzi setup location is and they are decent.  My hip just locks up on me sometimes and I think I should stretch before riding.  It locks up and then Ill stand up on the pegs to sort of ease the pain.  After a few mintues Im totally fine and it doesnt bother me for the rest of the time.

One of my friends has a 76 750 with clubmans and rear sets mounted at the passenger pegs. For me, riding it puts too much weight on my arms and I can't grip the tank with my knees quite as well, but I'm only 5' 9". He's around 6' 4" and thinks its comfortable though.

It's a little motor and likes having the tits revved off it.

At 5'9", you'd likely be fine with the rearsets placed at the rear engine mount points and not too far back from the stock position.  Again, what type of bars are you using?
