There are like 3 different axle spacer sizes and two different wheel spacer (thing that sits on the bearing) sizes. The one that sits directly on the wheel bearing should sit flush with the plate that goes over it. I just ran into this when I mixed some 550 parts in to my 500 build.

But that's what we call a retainer, not a spacer. In Honda speak: RETAINER REAR WHEEL BEARING Partnumber: 41231-323-020. It's on all 500s and 550s.
I suggest we call parts by their name to avoid confusion.

so the one on the right is it 31mm?  could you measure it for the OP

I had the sprocket side spacer/shoulder machined down 6mm and it worked perfectly. It was at F length and I needed it at K length. Thanks again!
