I did it myself.
I was given this bike from my Cousin in Ohio, I am in FL. FL requires a title in hand....or registration as per their web site. I printed the Vermont forms out for registration (down load PDF) and filed out on computer then signed. I used the FL DMV web site to print Bill of Sale and Vin Verification forms. I filled out the Bill of Sale and sent to my Cuz to sign. I filled out the Vin Verification and called our local JSO to do a vin check. 1st time, ran vin and not stolen but would not sign without title. 2nd , did vin check but would not sign due to lack of title. I loaded up the bike and took it to the DMV and it took 5 mins for them to look and vin and sign!!!
I called Vermont BMV, and ask for an exact price to fill out the check for reg. I told her I was given the bike......wrong thing to do. " If you paid $100, it would be $6 tax, but given to you we have to use book value" So $52.50 and I used the Antique tag for $14 over the $42 reg tag.
.....DONE!
Scotch in my glass and Padron burning.....
