My tail-stop light mod
« on: October 10, 2015, 03:40:59 PM »
I tried to post a couple times and I think I was trying too many MB's at a time so I will post a bunch to show what I want. In the mid 70's I rode my 750 K2 a lot at night. I wanted more tail light. I added a 1157 bulb in the housing. On the stop light part of the new bulb I installed a flasher. It all fit in the tail light housing. The video's are poor quality and do not really show how dramatic this is. Thanks, Dan

That's pretty sneaky! It should help you avoid getting rear-ended.

I wonder if your charging system is up to it. my cb350 is terrible with the small lighting load and I think the cb550 was worse, from what ive been told the 550s problem was compounded by the fact that the rear brake light switch was bad and would stick and drain the battery even more. whats the charging system like on your bike?

I think the turn signals need to be red when turned into running lights, I like it though.

Thanks for that info. I will change them. This is a simple mod and really makes a difference. People behind me at night tell me it is very different than normal. Dan

I know in years past I have seen stock profile lenses in red but can't seem to locate them. Anyone know where to get them? Dan

I was able to find the red turn signal lenses on ebay. Thanks for this info. I appreciate it. Dan
