I can't see any difference in the outside of tank.

i agree with powderman, as we can see, when expanding, different parts expanded due to different structural rigidity in different areas.  Bending it back is going to be the same or worse.  The fact that they rolled over like they did means they have a pretty good idea of what exactly they did to it and are just owning up to something they know they did. 

Making it right in my eyes would mean a new tank.

Well went back and got the tank. Visually looks good. No new dents or dings. Went home and it fits the bike flawlessly. They said the liner is pretty pliable and that it wouldn't hurt it. I still have a receipt with a guarantee to fix if it fails in a year. So I'm gonna hope for the best.

its redkote. Im pretty stoked now i just gotta strip it and get some bondo on those dents!!

yeah they told me its good after 48 hours. so ive waited 4 weeks. better safe than sorry! should the odor be completely gone?

there is still a slight odor but i cant imagine that it would completely go away if im shoving my nose in the gas hole? eitherway it will probably be another few weeks before i would put gas in it.

Good job, I feel like you handled the situation well all things considered.  I woulda been kind of pissed, kudos for the right temperament.
