WANT TO RAKE k3
« on: October 24, 2015, 07:50:28 PM »
I've owned my 73 K3 30 yrs  has 4' over front tube. Bike has over 100k on it now. Would like to rake  aprox 6-8 deg by using raked triple tree. Have seen & rode 750K's set up w/4" over legs & 10 deg rake. I'm looking to find someone who still manufactures raked trees for honda 750 K  Hope this is better for only my second post in lifetime  will endavor to be better

When you post in all capital letters, it means that you are yelling.  :(

You may want to retype your post so that you're not yelling at everyone.

Additionally, It is kind of difficult to make heads or tails of what you are saying.

Cycleonemanufacturing makes a 5* raked tree set for $400. Don't know if you'll find 6-8, but contact them and see if they can't make you a set.

They were as easy to find as Googling "CB750 Raked Triple Trees"

Unless you know what you are doing when it comes to rake and trail and how it effects handling, and i'm not talking corners here, rake the frame, its far safer and looks better as well, it really isn't that hard to do, there's a member here that documented his raked frame, what he did was simple, I think it may have been a drag bike......... I have a friend that used raked trees on his Harley, almost made it unridable, it was plain dangerous..

This isn't the bike i just mentioned but it looks good raked, and it was a stock frame originally, this one has been konged as well, its one of the better ones i've seen... ;)

When you use raked trees you shouldmake sure that the stem is offset to bring trail back to normal range.companies like seeger  cycle offer there's for Harley's maybe for Honda?

It can be done, but as Tintop48 said make sure to correct the trail for the rake.
