Sounds like your on your way to resolving your carb issues Jon.  Now that we know what the carb came from, I'll contact some friends that vintage race Fiats (::)) for some more parts contacts for you.

As for the lines.  Hard will certainly work, and given you can make your own, all the better.  It is the heat / cool cycles that 'work harden' the metal, which a motorcycle's vibration will eventually crack.  If you go that route I would try to minimize that vibration by supporting the line as needed with isolation clamps.  As its unlikely you going to be putting thousands of miles on it, they should last indefinitely.

As I said before, great project. ;D  It's sure to be an attention getter once your done. :)

The diaphragms look very similar to the anti stall and accelerator pump ones used in the 38DAGS/38DGMS carbs which were commonly used on 3L v6 Ford Essex engines in the UK. If you can't source one from a Fiat pm me and I'll dig out and measure an old DGAS.

Tintop, you get a gold star!!
Jon, I found an exploded diagram of a Web with 2 diaphragms in the accelerator pump as you have described. These were used on 3 barrel down-draft carbs on Porsche 6 cylinders. With any luck, those parts may still be available!!!

The 3 barrel carbs with 2 diaphragms I referred to are: 40 IDTP 3C, 40 IDAP 3C, 46 IDA 3C, if that helps. It would be nice if you could run a carb that has already been dialed-in with the turbo!!!

Scotty,
I looked at the diagrams for those carbs and they have 6 holes around each gasket, I did find two from other carbs that I just ordered. We'll see if they work. As for the upper gasket, I'm just going to find some gasket material and make my own....

I'll post updates as I get them!

Great to hear you think you may have found some parts Jon.

Haven't heard anything back yet from the Fiat guys. :(

I was able to find the same stainless tubing for the link in the earlier post. I ordered 10 feet of stuff that is rated to 400 degrees. I'll be sure to run it as far from the headers as possible.
Should have all parts by end of week, test ride soon????!!!

The anti stall diaphragm from a 38DGAS (and DGMS) is possibly worth a try. The dimensions are very close 37mm square 36mm between holes (assuming your 26mm is a typo). The loop on the edge is in a different position but this may not be used (it's not used on the DGAS), the metal disk is also larger on the one I have but I've seen these differ between rebuild kits.

EDIT: I've just remembered a bit more info, early DGAS carbs didn't have an anti stall so you need 38DGAS 3C or later. They also share allot of parts with the DGAV to the point that rebuild kits are sometimes listed as fitting both. They also have an accelerator pump diaphragm with the same outer dimensions but they have a post in the middle.

Hey gents!

First off thanks for doing some digging for me and finding out some good info.
I was going through the build docs again (I have a folder that has ALL of he reciepts, notes, diagrams for wiring and hoses, carb settings everything) and found a note that reads:
"Carb for 1200cc Fiat 1400 Auto Carro, fork lift or little van. Very popular in Italy, like a F250 here."
So Tintop you're right! I will contact Alan to see if he can help.
Turboguzzi, I included pictures of the two diaphams, overall measurements are: 37mm  square, 26mm from hole to hole, metal center is 22mm and post is 4mm high. I'd like to get a rebuild kit if possible, but I need these two parts at the least. The drawing would be helpful to show which needle is which for tuning purposes.

Frankenbike, I'll have to check the order of flow tomorrow, my bike has a remote oil filter that uses a standard car filter.

Tintop, the main reason I was going to go with hard lines is I can make them my self, I'll look into the company you listed to see if they can help.

Again, thanks everyone for the help!!!!!!!!!

Why don't check out a automotive Holley 4 barrel accelerator pump diaphragm.  It sure looks like one those.  Just not sure of the size.  You should be able to find one at a speed shop or autoparts store.

TG, the pin on that one looks too tall. Jon's is only 4mm. It looks like a diaphragm I have from a 34ICT, which is about 13mm.

The one with the tall pin looks identical to the accelerator pump one from a 38DGAS, the anti stall one looks a much closer match.

UPDATE:

Well gents heres where I'm at now. I received the two accel pump diaphragms, although they showed two different pics on the site, and different part numbers, the two I got were the same. The one from the 38DGAS was the same size and bolt pattern. After cutting the top off, the new one was the same height as the old, see pics. So now the carb is back together and hopefully ready to run.
As for the oil lines, I received 10 feet of new line, and after looking at how I had it set-up before it was not correct at all... I will be running the lines away from the headers and correctly going from pump to filter to cooler to engine and turbo. I hope to have a test ride this week!
Thanks again guys!

UPDATE:
A friend and I are building a SUPER cool exhaust from the turbo back this weekend, SUPER cool (at least I think so). Something very unique. I really don't want to show a video with out the tank and seat, when I get those stand by!!!
Thanks for the help and interest.

I know this is a VERY old subject, but I must ask if anyone can understand how that intake manifold works I haven't seen anything like it. What are the lines that connect to the bottom of it?

Yeah I'm REALLY interested in why that carb feeds what seems like the pressure side and the atmosphere side of the intake. Wouldn't the boost blow back through the carb? Anyway I found better pictures of the same bike here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/niftygardener/sets/72157622970721525/

Yes that is some confusing plumbing from the carb.....down to the turbo and again straight to the pressurized intake?

It appears to be fubar'd. Maybe that's why if went away.

I would have to agree.... It just doesn't make any sense at all.
