Is there any way to fix leaking/cracked overflow tubes in carb float bowls?

I don't have an answer, but the float chamber set is still available.

I've heard of people brazing them, but I've never tried it myself.

I've seen them develop lengthwise cracks, how's yours broken?

Slide a section of brass hobby tube over the cracked pipe.  A small amt of jb weld.at the bottom will seal and hold it in place

You can also clean them well and simply fill the crack(s) with solder. They need to be clean and I would use flux. use a soldering iron or gun, not a torch. The brass tube method has yielded good reports.

TY for the responses, everyone.  TY for the link Wobbly - but my bike is a K2 using carbs with the casting #7a.  Do have another (used) float bowl to try but unfortunately it was a victim of too much simple green, and is now a dark shade of german panzer grey.

Haven't narrowed down exactly where the crack is, but have installed new float valves, set new floats, and double checked them with a clear tube test...everything passes except the #2 carb wants to drip from the overflow tube.  Think I'll try the brass tube idea next.

Oh, that's savable, just wet-sand and polish it.

Of course, then you have to do all four, but then they look AWESOME
