Hey everyone
You may have seen me floating around the parts for sale/parts wanted section for some time now. About a year ago I picked up a CB750K4 which was supposed to be a quick tune-up and ride it but has completely spiraled out of control (a couple on the boards can certainly vouch for that). It all started with the K4 which after a tune up (new plugs/filter/battery/adjustments), it started leaking oil. From there it started puking oil
Come to find out, the case was actually cracked at some point which appeared to be due to a chain breaking - Lesson learned #1 - inspect the cases. I ended up with another K4 which has turned into being the donor bike. As part of all of this, I now have one "bike" fully disassembled and the donor motor 100% disassembled. I've had a few things done to the motor (special thanks to Chewbacca for the tips):
Motor was bored to 836
Cylinder head now has a 3 angle valve job
I'm currently in process of getting everything blasted/powdered and then the reassembly can continue. Unfortunately but fortunately, as part of all of this, I now have more parts of motorcycles in my house and car than I do in my garage. I'll have to open another thread to capture the progress.
