what lengths for double front brake lines?
« on: March 22, 2016, 03:34:02 PM »
So I've decided to run a double banjo bolt at the master cylinder of my '76 750F and run 2 lines down (1 to each caliper) instead of using the factory splitter.

Does anyone know somewhere that sells the lines to do this? Or at least know what lengths I would need for each side?

Bike is a '76 CB750F
Front end and brakes are from a '77 750F
Handlebars are Emgo clubmans

This is not my bike or picture, but same idea:

Thanks a lot

hmm I did email slingshot but never heard back. Maybe I'll try again.

I was thinking of just ordering some goodridge lines off of bikebandit:

When measuring, I want the front wheel to be off the ground for full fork extension, right? Any idea of how much slack I need? Or best way to route them?

Yeah, email him again.  He was on a thread about his brake lines within th epast week, so I know he's around.
Routing? Well thats up to you and how you want your bike to look.  I measured mine with a decent curve, and with my front tire on the ground.
I did the same (2 lines from the MC) setup as you plan on doing.

OK thanks will do.

Do you make the left side line longer than the right side as it's a bit further than the MC?
