Guys,

Help me out if you can. I am rebuilding the front wheel hub of my 1971 K1. Part of this rebuild was to inspect the speedometer gear, which I thought needed a good cleaning. I pulled the dust seal off, cleaned in up and repacked the gear.

I am now trying to find a replacement dust seal. The one I pulled off has the marks of TC 34 48 7. I cant seem to located a replacement seal for this.

Any thoughts on who I can contact. I would think any bearing supply store might carry it but I thought if I could just buy it on line I would.

Finally, if anyone has the actual part number for this it might help my search as well.

Thanks all

Craig

I would take it to your local bearing shop and have them order you one, just to be sure you got the correct one.

CycleRanger mentioned on another thread that's it's a double lip seal:

So, this seal is probably what you want, if you just want to order something:

P/N is; 91256-056-651, and the description is "OIL SEAL (4.8X14.5X4)". If I believe the site, HondaParts-Direct.com has it for $2.80.

I believe craigermags is asking about the larger seal... and I think the one you're talking about is the seal to the output shaft.

If he took that housing apart, he is out of luck as far as a part number goes.  That assy is not supposed to be taken apart, and there is no part number breakdown.
