CB550F 4 into 1 Pipes
« on: May 17, 2016, 04:26:55 PM »
All,

I've got a 77 550F.  I've removed my pipes to clean them up some.  It would help if I could separate them.  On the stock pipes, does the pipes just press fit into the transition piece that goes to the muffler or is it made, welded, heat fitted, together?

Thanks
Ace

Pretty sure it is welded, unlike the 400F header where the 1 and 3 pipes are removable. Not 100% on it though...

Thx CC I'm pretty sure you are right. They seem pretty secure. At the very least they look to be more solid than I'd care to attempt to separate.

Thx Again,
