Some of us have lived harder than others.
Harder Tom, or stupid-er? Most of your damage seems to be er, "self inflicted"?
No offence mate, I've broken my fair share of bones either riding too hard (or too drunk) or not knowing when to duck, (or perhaps when to run) but I'd never make a statement like that, extolling the virtues of my own stupidity? I've no regrets for what I've done in my life, (no point in that) but that doesn't make me proud of my battle-scars either?
If most of the guys here have survived long lives without major injury, good for them, I've got a permanent back injury from one too many bad parachute landings that makes my life hell some days, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. (although the DVA-paid weekly back massage by a beautiful 25 year old Vietnamese princess does go some way towards fair compensation................)
Welcome back by the way, have you sent those forks out yet? I looked at the calendar this week, it's only been 11 months now since you said you'd send 'em out tomorrow? Ha ha, it's been one hell of a long day mate, but it's getting dark out, so tomorrow won't be long now, I bet? Cheers, Terry.
