BUMP!

This bike is AWESOME. Gotta wonder how much "pull" they had with the old man, being allowed to run their own colours up the proverbial Honda Flag-Pole! They were development riders, yeah? So are they the guys we see in all of those photos of the prototype & pre-production CB750K0 Sand-Cast bikes being run around Suzuka etc, with the Black Bomber "toaster" style gas-tank on it & all that? Would be a heck of a thing, to be the first person in the world to have ridden the CB750 - why aren't THEY better known here in the West?

We all need to forget about the Dick Man paint jobs, build more replicas like this!

So was this the only odd-ball colour scheme in early CR750 racing? I know there were some different colours out there by the time of the DOHC racers the RCB & RS1000, CB1100R etc - I'd sure like to hear more about odd-ball bikes like this one.

And what a gorgeous job building it, hey? WOW. I had a few pics of this bike for years now, downloaded from the daily-bike blog sites etc. But I had no idea it was from here on the SOHC Four-um. Definitely downloading all of these new pics!

If you're responsible for any dead pic-links in this thread, could you please fix 'em? Gotta wonder how this thread wound up on the back-burner. Should be a "STICKY" for bikes of this quality!

-Sigh.

If I made all the posts sticky of bikes of superb quality, the forum would be all sticky threads. hahahaha

Sorry mate,  Sam. ;)

Haybus, is it still owned by Joseph? How's he getting on with it? I daren't ask him directly, bit like asking a bloke how your old girlfriend goes in bed I always think!  :)
I am guessing he has either repainted it or had a crash since he had a tank chomped off me not long ago....I'd appreciate any news of how he's doing second hand like  ;)

Still alive and racing. Still looks the same as it did when I first saw it, which is the same as your picture. No crashes that I know of. Joseph has had some issues, but hopefully they're all sorted out and he'll be racing it for round 3. It's fast, for sure.

It looks just like the day he bought it. Here's a shot taken through my windshield, I'm sure you will recognize the paint on the tail!

Excellent thanks Haybus! I have no doubt he might have had some issues to begin with - it'd done one parade lap of the isle of man after seven years of build time and that was all so would have needed a good shakedown, tweaks and changes. Nice to know it is fast - that's what it was designed to be so glad it turned out that way :-)
