Topic: APE clutch plates

I´m having big troubles with my new APE clutch, it chatters when I start and slips at high speeds. I have tried various way of installation but nothing helps.

I fitted one to my race bike, grabbed really badly coming off the line (so bad that slower bikes were getting to the 1st corner before me) but was ok once I was past the initial start. Emailed APE about it but got no help or advice whatsoever. Had to junk it after one race meeting.

Std clutch with Barnett springs is good enough for a modified street bike. That's my experience and you'll see others writing the same if you search the forums

I have used them all at one stage or another, the std plates are the best option.
I doubt there would be to many applications that put as much stress on the drive line as our machine.
