Here's some of the "art" that hangs on the walls at my shop. The piston/rod was a sacrifice to the speed god Nitro, when an ignition failure caused the cylinder sharing the crank journal to hydro-lock from a build up of fuel. The owner of the rail kept the more damaged piston/rod as a hard earned trophy...

Gambled and lost on a swap meet tire.
Won't be able to use it on the bike - so it will serve purpose as a shelf.
These are pretty simple to put together, and a good way to keep rubber out of landfills.

A while back I made a lamp out of an LSX (V8) camshaft....also in the process of making a coffee table/wine bottle holder out of the short block. No pictures at the moment but, I can take some.

I lived on Primrose Lane at the time.

Truck hood was removed from my dad's 71 Chev truck back in the 70's after a hail storm. Unfortunately when I moved I could not get it off the wall and I left it behind.

Also had some truck art on the wall.

A 1959 license plate for each of the Canadian provinces and Territories.

And a few toys......

Oh how I miss that garage.....

2 piston tongues. 1 quite large piston, maybe 12 inch dia and a smaller one. Both fitted with a carved tongue made from Australian cedar.

This one turned out well enough my wife kept it in the house! Old wooden roller from a wall paper embossing machine, mounted to a lightened, steel flywheel from a Lotus FORD 1600 c.c. Twin Cam engine. It was in the back of a Cooper T76 Formula B car I raced in the ‘70s. Replaced by an aluminum F3 unit. Clear coated the rust and left it alone! Smile, every time I look at it!

This is my shop art on the roof. It's the US Army Air Corps logo from 1917 to 1942 when they removed the red meatball so our own guys stopped shooting at them thinking they were Japanese planes. I painted it 7 years ago, it's 16' diameter.

I have a too big and too radical, parts eating roller cam that we removed from my 567" big block dragster motor. I've been waiting for a cam gear to bolt it to so I can make a lamp.

My avatar is a Honda emblem that I painted on a 24" x 24" sheet of steel as a project in a community college painting class.

Nice job!

I didn't make it, but I got it tonight for my 70th birthday Sunday. My daughter said the stained-glass guy made this 10 years ago and nobody ever looked at it before.
