Newbie from St. Paul, MN
« on: November 27, 2006, 12:22:16 PM »
My name is Kurt Grebner from St. Paul, MN. I have been skulking about on this forum for several months reading everything that I can find. It's great! I have 5 bikes and spend some time on some other forums, but my 71 CB750K1 is my favorite. Why do I like it? I think the style is timeless and have always admired Hondas in general for their ability to work with less maintenance than many of the other bikes I have encountered. Last year is when I bought my CB750 and have been trying to get it back to its original condition. Not a spotless restoration but respectable.

My bikes are: 1971 Honda CB750K1, 1975 BMW R90/6, 1978 Honda CB400A (hondamatic), 2001 Kawasaki KLR650 and 2002 BMW R1150RT.

I have been riding for 6 years and am 52 years old. Minnesota doesn't allow for year round riding at least when there is ice on the roads. When the roads are clear and if I dress warmly I can still get out during the winter. You just need to be extra careful.

Thanks for having a great place to go for information on keeping my bike running. I appreciate all that I read. Thanks!

Welcome Kurt,

I too am a Newbie from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have a couple members wanting to get together this spring in the area. You are not quite "local" but maybe close enough to consider. I think there are a couple guys from the Wisconsion area also.

Scott

Ahhhh, I bet you say that to all the forums. ;)  Just kidding.  Welcome, indeed!

Hey Scott,

If you guys do any riding next spring keep me in mind. I have been through SD several times (NO, I was NOT going to Sturgis) and am always looking for new places to go. It's about 600 miles to Souix Falls if I remember correctly. No problem!

Thanks
Kurt

That's almost 1 new bike for each year of riding. It's not to late to pick up that sixth.   ;D  Welcome
