Nice looking Megaphone stainless
« on: October 25, 2016, 09:42:40 PM »
My buddy was installing a Bassani pipe on a twin today..brushed stainless.
Slip on megaphone has a reverse cone reminds me of the HOOKER end caps.
Very clean looking, but i bet its not cheap... I should have measured the size where it slips on.
I am guessing 200 or more
Bassani is a very old name in bike exhausts.

Bassani, the sound of the name is rivaled only by the note of their exhaust.

Cone Engineering is very similar, reasonably priced, several diameters and lengths to choose from.

They were definitely very big into two stroke expansion chambers back in the day. They had a  very distinctive look. My GT550 came with a nice set of Bassani pipes and the stockers. Nice quality.

Cone engineering makes an open pipe with a larger outlet than inlet, similar to this (Max Performance series). Good price for the similar look.

I have had it running but have never officially had it out on the road per say. Bought it during my two stroke feeding frenzy period   ;D ;D

I find that short Cone Engineering that is used a lot, often looks out of proportion in a lot of applications. I think part of it is that they are angled out a lot, not more in line with the bike frame.
