Topic: new 550F Super Sport owner

I'm Nogoatz...aka jeff  from Kent in Ohio,USA.
Just recently picked up my 1975 Honda CB550SS and drug her home.
Bike hasn't been licensed for the road since 1985, but was stored inside.
I went to a cycle swap meet a few weeks ago...saw this beautiful blue 550SS on the back of a trailer with a $400 price tag...went back and looked 3 more times. Didn't buy. Was cruising on ebay last Saturday and saw a similar bike. Bid and won. Turns out it was the same exact bike. It was meant to be!!!!
Working on getting her running and safe....need to rebuild carbs,get a battery,replace fork seals, fix some chafed wiring, and repair the fuel tank due to minor rust through, and replace dry rotted tires.
Been lurking on the forums, trying to learn as much as possible.

i got a 72 CB500 that i'm restoring to it's "Cafe" state it was in when the year was 1985, lots of trick parts, needs to be re-ringed because an oil ring gave out in #2 cylinder..and tires..and grips..and seat cover..battery. not bad for craigslist!

kuyarico, the swap meet was in Brookfield, Ohio......right across the state line from Sharon, Pa...home of Quaker Steak and Lube...where we had a fabulous lunch!
