My brother in-law and his wife always participate in Black Friday shopping and have been known to arrive very early in order to get what they want, he says from time to time they do have to deal with an a..hole or 2 but for the most part he's never had to deal with customers crushing each other trying to get in the door or tackling each other in the aisles. I'm all for saving money and getting a good deal, I'm just not willing to stand outside on a cold November morning to do it.

I generally avoid going outside on Friday and Saturday.

I'm pretty uncomfortable around crowds as it is, couple that with holiday shopping and its more than I can tolerate.

Yeah, I have heard of deals too. I can only go by what I have heard, about how it gets, while shopping during that time. And, like you, I don't see myself getting up and getting out there, as early as you would need to. My Dad had always gone Christmas Shopping, really late (or close to Christmas Day) and when I was in High School, I started going with him, kinda like he was passing his tradition on to me, so anyway it as never anything like what I had heard about Black Friday, but we did have to get out kind of early, but not THAT early. Thanks for sharing.  ;)

I am not all that relaxed around crowds either and I avoid shopping or places that are really crowded anyway and try to get whatever shopping that I have to do, before the crowds hit, if at all possible. Thanks for sharing.  ;)

NEVER.  And like eigenvector I hate crowds, unless it is a sporting event.  I, however, do work at a large home improvement center and get a chance to observe some of the lunacy.  We've never had a problem in 10 years but as you know people have been trampled and killed over saving the almighty dollar(those instances are actually ones of extreme greed).

Online for me. Agree with others, not leaving the house. Good weekend for inside projects.

Yesterday was the exception to buy the gun safe but there were only four people. Took 15 minutes to buy and load.

Getting unloaded and in the house was another story.  ;D

I agree, I just don't do crowds very well. Too many rude people or, at least those who don't seem to realize we are al there, for the same reason and need to show some consideration for others. But, I just don't go there. Rather be out in my shop, working on something or, at least making plans to do so.  ;)

Tractor Supply usually doesn't have the Walmart shopper crowds.  ;D There were several cars pulling in but if they wanted a safe it would be rain checked.

LOL, never thought about whether they would have crowds. Makes sense that they wouldn't.

I worked for a year or so at a Target store and was required to be in 1 hour before the store opened in Keene, NH. Even in this small town people were insane when the doors opened.
Since I left there, I never go shopping on Black Friday, as I feel retailers abuse employee family time for money.

Wellllllllll.   The problem with the Waltons is they no longer have 5 of the 10 richest people in the world(down to 4 out of 15, heaven forbid) so the need to stay open longer to regain their status.  Oh yeah, sarcasm definitely intended...Larry

Yup. Just got back from Vegas, other half in hospital. Twice this month, thought she was being released, not so. Back again.

I'll let you know when it ships, don't know when at this time. Pretty busy.

Back home now. How long I don't know. Plan on shipping package tomorrow. Three trips to Vegas this week wore me out for today. I'm beat mentally and physically.

I can sure understand that, with all the coming and going. Always better, when everyone is back home and and possibly unwind a bit.

Um, yeah, I have to say that it is.  ;D   And I have absolutely no idea what you are up to.

I was in my shop, a little bit ago and I was brought a box, by Shane (My newly adopted Son) and so then, there were several people (Besides Shane and Me, My Wife, Karla (My Daughter & my Newly Adopted Daughter, Jordan, who were all wondering "What's In The Box"? So, I proceeded to open it up. When I saw the box, inside the box, I thought, Ferrari? So, at that point, I was really puzzled. Not that I don't like Ferrari's, but am more Mopar, than anything else. Then I pulled the car out of the box and realized that it was a 1969 Dodge Super Bee Diecast and not just any '69 Super Bee, but a '69 1/2 440 6 Pack Super Bee! I don't know what to say, I almost immediately started rearranging my collection, so I could give the "Bee" it's place in the collection. In the photo, you will see that it is sitting on a shelf, by the Black Daytona, next to a Viper GTS, which is also next to a Daytona (which is Orange). I don't know what to say, except "Thank You Very Much" You have already made this a Very Memorable Christmas for me.  8) ;)    I was already feeling good, because now, Shane and Jordan were going to be sharing my last name and in all legality, be my kids, along with my Daughter, Karla and this just tops it off.
 ;)

Merry Christmas to  you and yours.

Yea, I have a few cars myself. I boxed several of my favorites, have a Hemi Cuda that was a limited production model and several Ferrari's. I took a dozen over to a toy drive for kids still in the box.

I had to make room for the new safe so the cars are packed, Curio sold. You can see the Hemi motor lower left in first picture.

I hope that you all have a Very Merry Christmas as well. Yeah, I'll say you have quite a collection there. Too bad you had to sell the curio, to make room for the new safe. My collection isn't that big and is mainly Mopars & Indian Motorcycles. Yours is a pretty wide variety, for sure. I have included a photo of the top shelf, witch is Fast n Furious cars of Dom a miniature "Tree" for the drag strip and 2 late model Charger remote control cars.
