Recently bought a 1978 CB750K. Not in very good shape but most of the parts are present. The big selling point for me was the fact that it started and ran! But as Paul Harvey used to say -- "and now for the rest of the story"... almost every part on the bike needs to be replaced, rebuilt, repainted or refurbished. The front brake pads were stuck in the caliper so I had to use a grease gun to remove what I think is referred to as the "B" pad. The Master Cylinder was in just as bad a shape. The front tire looks to be the original (no kidding) the odometer shows just 11,303 miles so who knows? The throttle linkage was so bound up the throttle wouldn't move once you let go of it, etc..... Lots of parts have been ordered and some even installed already. Replaced all the wiring harness connectors, retrofitted a new blade style fuse holder, model correct headlight, etc...
Looks like it will be a long labor of love getting it back into decent shape. Probably spend more than I could ever get out of it -- but that's OK 'cause I don't intend to sell it, ever!
I got it to replace one I bought in the early 1980's and unwisely sold in about 1999. Missed it ever since! Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and start getting acquainted on the forum. Already bought "HondaMans" book and an OEM shop manual. Can't wait to take the first ride! Mark
