There are some cool lifts available that recess into the floor.  They can be used for cars as well as bikes...or could be.
The front wheel holding device would have to be a bolt on affair. You can put insert nuts in the table and  use bolts with the large knobs like the woodworking crowd frequently use for their various powered tools and fences and tables. You could even use Cam-locking designs for things that would not require as much security against failure.

Then there are various wooden bike work tables or rolling bench designs.
Putting a few concrete anchors for a threaded stop block to prevent a rolling table or cart from moving would be critical.

My only suggestion is to get as wide a lift as you can. A motorcycle/atv style. It gives you a wider work table and a place for footing when you roll the bike on it. Plenty of room for tools also. When not in use for a bike it serves as a great extra work table.

I had the HF lift and it worked well however when doing the CBX it was very tricky to do it by yourself as the lift sits high off the floor. I am not a strong guy and needed help loading the bike. Worked well for smaller bikes however.

One thing about a nice lift is you usually get your money back if selling. I paid $700 for this many years ago with chock and extra jack. Never regretted the purchase. I believe this is a Pro-Lift.

Extra room for parts and tools.

not keen on the wide lift , i can see it would be good to put tools and stuff on but it would make it difficult to get to parts of the bike .
those handy lifts look very nice though , a bike lift is one of those things that cant be to good only to crap and it could be expensive finding that out .
recessing it into the ground is a good idea as well , might do that .

Because of the space I have available, I'm likely not going to get the lift side extensions.  I cal always add them later if needed.  I have plenty of roll around tables for parts and tools.

I've pretty much decided on a Titan Lift as they are local and I found a guy registered as a distributor with them for his side business.  Great price and he and I will go direct to Titan to pick the lift up in my truck.

Simon, Most of the wide lifts have easy on, easy off side extensions so you get the best of both worlds.

Jeeze, where do you guys store all this crap?
It's tough enough to keep and maintain 5 motorcycles...

Only 5?   You need to up your game, buy another 5 bikes and get a 3 car garage!

Seriously. 5 bikes is what we hoard^^^^OLD TIMERS call "a good start".

...but back to the thread now, Yo are going to love that lift. I have two Handy and one Harbor Freight, and I do like the HF just fine, it is a screamin' deal. I prefer the Handy, but unless you can find something similar like you did for a smokin' price (as you did), IMO you cannot beat the HF lift for sheer value.

Enjoy! There's no going back now!
