can you prove that yuo ride your bike, through typing?   no i though not
What planet are you from DICK???? Don't you ever just call it a day????

i think he may need some things explained to him, but i recognize him as very much from this planet.
snip, most people here do not fall into a category.  they havent got a very high post per day average.  the very active ones usually post two kinds of messages- those about their bike- and those about their alcohol soaked thoughts and political leanings.  the bikes are what make it ok. (if it is) but you stick out as someone who has contributed (more posts than i in les time) a whole lot to one side whle keeping your bikes a secret.

now you can say we would have made fun of you if you had showed us your bike sooner, but i think if you had involved the group in that part of your life, it is what we are all good at doing and we would have helped you.  not saying you need our help.  just that you have become a major poster here and yet what have you contributed?  you can learn a lot from these guys and gals and you may even have a thing or two to each us, but untl you see the two way nature of the road you will have to get used to oncommming traffic.

Thats what I'm talkin about. You come in like a total jack ass......who cares about your POS bike. You come in like someone with a genuine interest in our club and the bikes we love....we are more than happy to help. Just get real Snip or face the crap that you are begging for.

doesnt bother me too much, I havent asked too many questions because i havent had but one or two things I couldnt figure out on my own, I contribute in the tech forum when i know an answer to a question asked, but if i feel that enough people have posted the same answer to a question, why should i clutter up the tech forum resounding another confirmation seems like a waste of time

As far as my bikes,
1. non-working bike I havent had time to work on in a few months                     1976 CB750K6
i am having trouble gapping the points and tightening the screw at the same time, if anyone has a pointers for the members with less than precision hand coordination

2.Well working bike, air cones, 4-1 RC pipes w/no baffles, needs turn sigs added   1976 CB750K6 also

What else would you like to know, I have posted this info before, but no one responded?

I came in with a genuine interest, but negative posts like yours would discourage people from participating in the group

I dont think I "came in like a total jackass"  however i did make some stupid comments in the hippie post and i Was indeed wron and have changed my opinion and attitude in a lot of manners since goining

my "trip" is that i dont mind some good natured picking on the bike and/or my Ghetto Rigging of it As KK pointed out, what i take exception to is your personal jabs and insults, I can take a joke as good as i give it, but straight up calling someone a jackass is different and insulting

i get on everyone to post pics of their bikes.  i am addicted to bike porn, ill admit it, and my addiction sometime makes me do bad things, like lie to lois, yell at my friends, and yes after posting 6 hundred freaking times without a single pic and nary a comment about this bike of his, to stick it to snip.  i will make amends later i am not on that step yet.

Here's an outsider's point of view. Rsnip does seem to post a lot and seems to have quite an obsession with post count. I think that some members may be a bit annoyed at the nature of the posts because they don't really have much useful info. No offense snip, but what is the fascination with post count?

Hey snip, you might be able to save up if you would be throwing your 2 cents around this site just to get you post count up! Try actually working on your bike instead of posting all the time. Start with cleaning all that nasty silver paint off ever surface of that turd!! :) :) :)
The thing about common sense is that, it's not that common.

About the original question...  ::)

My K1 would do 131 or so, stock. It had 17/48 gearing.
My K2 would do 121 stock when new, at 18/48 gearing. Changing it to 17/48 overcame the overgearing and it would run up to 128 stock.

After some roadrace mods, it ran (runs?) illegally fast....er....

I only post while I am at work, so I cant be working on the bike instead of posting....

the 2 cent reference is a figure of speach, I can post as much as i want to regaurdless of the counter, maybe i just have a lot to say

Masking tape may not be rocket science but since i have to replace the bad tires anyway, i figured "who cares about overspray"
