Ok so I have a 80 cb650 I got a good deal on a new engine 82 custom at the time I didn't know enough about them the 82 has a different head and carbs so I put my 80 carbs on the 82 custom engine got it running rode to town 6to8 miles and started losing power soon as I pulled into town pow it locked up the engine I assume I got it home took off the side plate and turned it loose till the engine would start with the starter agin this time it ran fine in the driveway about 15 mins then the big pow engine seized again I know they had different heads and carbs I'm trying to get it bake on the road is the possible the carbs are doing this maybe put the head off my other 650 engine on there just wanted other opinions

The wrong carbs won’t seize an engine in any way I can think of. If you can, try to be descriptive (maybe with some proper grammatical structure too
)about exactly what “pow” means and what “locked up” means. The motor won’t rotate, or won’t fire, or won’t catch?

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
