I like the tail section's white/red scheme because it reminds me of the old Davida helmets, but I'm not sold on the tank, could you do a tank scheme more like the tail mate?

I'd go with gloss basic colors of both, no metallic.http://www.tcpglobal.com/Automotive-Paint/House-of-Kolor-Paint-Graphic-Colors-SG/I was gonna use these bc 25 and 26 to mix the gray, then sg102, but apparently new regulations have banned the black and whites... digging for alternative with Shimrin2... shouldn't be that big of an issue.

I think I would be to common just to run the racing stripe all the way down. I wanted to break up the patterns a bit. by the way anyone have any experience with component painting over chromed parts? if you scuff if up with a 100 grit sandpaper will it work or do you have to strip the chrome?
I really like the red but I painted my kawi red.. as seen earlier in the thread... always gravitate towards red/white/black. so want to step away from it. I also like painting bikes colors that are atypical of their factory image (like blue for yami, green for kawi, red for Honda). I despise sanding, and have done plenty in the past, repainting IS a pain. you're right about the number though, I don't want to make it permanent. but I like the framing and set up of the number.

Humm, Ok. For some reason I was picturing the yellow in flat? Here's a thought; if you can't decide between red or yellow, go half way between with Orange.

Wow! A Carpy bike??! Anyway, I was trying to give ideas about the logo. I used a classic Honda, period correct logo, professionally painted and pinstriped.
Hey I just re-read your Nine Lives bike build thread Don, what a pain that must have been! Whatever happened to those Lockheed brakes? I wouldn't mind trying some on a CB750, and I thought maybe larger disc rotors maight solve the problem with the calipers hitting the spokes? Cheers, Terry.

Everyone has their own aesthetic. IMO, I think that the bike in its final configuration was pretty distinct from his bikes (note: GL front end, numerous performance upgrades, electronics, custom rebuilt wheels, finishes, custom metal work, etc.).

I'm tired for you just reading thru it. can't blame a novice for not noticing the "details in the devil". but hey, you kinda though of carpy first when you decided to go for it.

I traded them to my buddy (for him to use). I agree that if you could offset the rotors more than on the 750, you could probably use them.
