Conti TKC's would give that nice vintage look. However, trying to find NOS tires that are 43 years old is a Bad Idea. There are Dunlop K81's out there that are new, and would give you a nice old look too, and as has been stated, Coker tire, and Heidenaugh has some available. Google is your friend here.

The exact model of tires that came on your bike are no longer made.  It would have been Bridgestone or Dunlop.

I like the Bridgestone BT45's on my K4...

No road tests yet. I have read they should be OK. I like the look.

PeWe, be sure and keep us updated on the Heidenau's performance.  I too think they look great.  The Dunlop K70 profile just looks so unfriendly to getting leaned over.

I have another rear wheel build ongoing where a Heidenau K36 4.0-18 will sit.
This wheel for a quick tire change on my K6 that now has Dunlop Streetsmart. The K6 need around 4000 km until next change.
I hope the Heidenau will last longer than 5000 km. My goal is 8000 km (5000 miles). I need to use the throttle less ;)
K2 build with both wheels is going in a slow pace. It is more about to bolt everything together, engine is ready for the frame.

I also hope those Heidenau tires grip well, I know the Vintage race guys love the ones they use. Conti Twins, back in the day had a limited 'slip' angle built in to them so that you would know when you were at the limit of traction... not the best idea, especially when you are heeled over into a corner, and accelerating and the rear starts stepping out... closer and closer to the shoulder!

+1. Had them on a 550 that I bought, bike did not handle well.

There's also Metzler and Shinko for a vintage look. On the 4into1 site, they have lots of images of tires that will fit your bike so it's easy to compare.
