Just so everyone knows, ESPECIALLY Shortround, I was in no way bagging on the bike. I just think that's crazy money for a 550 and I'm glad to see the market rebound a bit. Makes me wanna throw mine out there and see what happens.
And, despite what Innovatems says, I still feel the market is soft. In my neck of the woods, anyway.
I did pretty well on two '80's bikes, but they were both above average examples and both had a bit of a cult following. Not many people want them, but the ones that do REALLY want them.
I made enough to nearly pay cash for a prisitine....I'm talking new as showroom...low mileage, one owner, nicely equipped 2014 Triumph Scrambler. That's a HELL of a lot of bike for not much money at all. WAY less than the final bid on Shortround's bike. One instance where the soft market worked in my favor!
