What is this wire?
« on: May 26, 2018, 12:31:39 PM »
Out for a nice memorial day/weekend ride today, and I spent a few hours broken down on the side of the road.  Appears to be an unrelated issue, where my metal key chain shorted on something in the ignition, blowing the main fuse.

Before I figured this out, I was going crazy, attempting to figure out where this loose ground wire goes, convinced that it rattled loose.
Obviously a ground, but I have nothing disconnected.  So...am I missing something?  The wiring diagram just says "ground to frame."

Should mention- this is a CB750K2.

Thanks in advance!
I'm going to print off a wiring diagram and keep it under the seat from now on...

Get the right length fuse in there, scuff the contact area with scotchbrite, check the rivets that hold the fuse clip to the wire terminal: all are contributors to heat at the fuse clips and random fuse blowing. Or get a modern blade type fuse and holder.

I see the green wire, harness-frame ground in the corner of your photo, just outside the circle.
