As suspected the DID front rim from DAvid Silver is not correct.  I compared the spoke angles and they are off...see pic



I compared to the CB360T disk front rim and it was a match.

I emailed DSS with the picture.

I hope they will take them back. On my side,after reading a lot of threads,i rolled the dice and i bought wheels and spokes from vintage_001(ebay seller).Some members here,bought from him and everything was ok.

Yeah...i'll see what they say.  I'm pretty positive the rear wheel is correct...I'll check and confirm that later.

Please post pictures and feedback on the rims you purchased.  I'm going to take my original rims to a few local chrome shops to see if they think they are salvageable.

If I'm lucky maybe we can just have them re-chromed...wont be cheap...but will be original.  Otherwise we may just powdercoat them

DSS is pretty good with returns.   I've never had a problem healing with them.

Have you asked this question over on the Honda305.com forum?    I would bet someone over there knows.     Although, Bill Silver is definitely an expert on all things 1960's Hondas, if he can't find a source, then all hope might belts.    :(

Bertrand, I have bought several sets of spokes from 4:1 for CB77s which work correctly. The spokes are 6" long. Rims are a different problem, though. Honda's replacement rims had the big DOT stampings on the edges, which are not consistent with the original DID parts,

The UNION CYCLE rims from Thailand are not properly drilled, so the spokes wind up a little bent when the wheel is assembled. Plus for some reason the rims seem to weigh a few pounds more than Japanese rims.

When i was restoring mine, it seemed the good options were, get custom aluminum rims, rechrome the originals, or powder coat the originals. I was quoted $300 per rim to get them rechromed, aluminum rims were around the same, powder coat was $50 for both. Mine got powder coated

Time to find a pizza shop going out of business and to rebuild that oven into a powder coat oven...expanding it to fit other parts you might do (frame)

   I recieved my rims and spokes today!
  And after a close inspection,everything is ok :)
  I was a little bit nervous when i open the box,what a relief....

I know this is an old thread but I am getting a parts list together for my "very ambitious" CB77 rebuild and am finding the search for rims very frustrating. Folks are telling me the rims from Asia on ebay are not good quality and/or never have the correct spoke angles.
If the vintage_01 rims you got worked I am tempted to go with them. I like the idea of aluminum rims.

Did the spokes lace up ok without being bowed? That is one concern that keeps coming up in my search, due to the incorrect drilling of the angles on many of these aftermarket rims.

Thanks a million for your feedback on the rims. I believe that is the same seller who responded to a Facebook group question I posted about rims. I may go visit him in person this winter as I only live a couple hours away.
He wasn't confident about spokes, could you tell me where you got spokes for your project?

Actually, for some reason my CL77 project bike came with the correct turn signal switch, so I plan to rebuild and use that as the CL doesn’t have them. The US bikes didn’t come with turn signals and the original switches don’t seem to be available anywhere. I’m going to add turn signals to my Superhawk and 305 Dream, and will probably retrofit a later switch to the Dream so I can use the nice, simple one on the Superhawk.
Did you find a suitable turn signal switch for your bike?

I bought one for my cb77 and  even if i check the wiring diagram,i'm not 100% sure where all the wiring goes.
 My cb77 was almost a basket case when i bought it and i upgrade things where i can. So i bought a charging kit from Rick's motorsport and a transistorized ignition from hondaman. New coils also.

I haven't purchased anything yet. I am still in the planning stages, but what got me started on this is that I finally have my own workshop space. I've been holding onto a CL77 and CB77 for years, and recently acquired a CA77. All various levels of "scrap," but I am ambitious and enthusiastic about the 305s!
My CB77 is also kind of a basket case and my plan was to buy one of those complete wiring harnesses on ebay that have the turn signal wiring. I have a wiring diagram somewhere in my files but haven't studied it yet.

In regards to the switch gear question for a CL77 Scrambler signals, which the early bikes did not use any signals that I am aware.

I am just finishing a high level restoration on a 1966 Honda CL77 and added the switch gear from a 1968 CL175 bike along with the acorn signals from early 70's Honda bikes. I have a 1968 CL175, so I got the idea from that bike and CMSNL had brand new Honda CL175 switch gear for less than $200.00 Canadian for the set.
A perfect match with the starter button delete, with the left/right turn signals plus horn button (left side) and the off/low/high beam switch (right side).
I replaced the old CL77 wiring harness with a top notch new one from Thailand, which fortunately included the turn signal/flasher wiring inside the new harness.

I got rid of the weird switch on the headlight bucket and the right side high beam indicator and replace both with a yellow turn signal LED left side and a neutral indicator right side and will use the small red light in the speedometer as the new high beam indicator lamp.

Here are a few pictures of the switch gear and the signals on the bike. I didn't cut anything and used existing holes on the rear fender mount for the rear signal brackets and the headlight bucket ears I used the early Honda chrome signal spars in place of the bolts for the ears/bucket mounts.
