It was 75 degrees here on Sunday so I decided to take my first ride I rode up and down the long driveway serveral times, after I let her warm up and had the choke off, I decided to take it down the road to the lake, I went on down all the way to the pier and turned it around and then when I went to take off again I realized the front brake was stuck, so I borrowed a wrench from a guy in the parking lot and loosened them till the pads didnt touch the rotor any more (suicide brakes if you like) after that it was like floating on a really loud cloud, i was flying up and down the road in no time, i opted out of driving into heavy traffic since there are no signals, front brake or horn at this point so i brought it home in 45 mins or so... most fun I've had in years on the road (a little paranoid, but great)

just wanted to share my extreme excitement

no this is the new bike i bought that i needed to tune a little, the other one is still in peices, only step stopping me from starting it is the gaps in the points I cant seem to hold the gap and tighten the screw at the same time

This post was to "express my feelings with my bike" as someone asked me to start posting more substance in threads

I didnt have manual with me, It was an hour away at the time, I plan to rebuild/clean it next sat along with wiring up the horn and lights

Good for you.

I'm jealous. Closest I get to riding now is straddling my bike while muscling the carbs off last night. Then again, it's -14 Celsius outside (around 7 above zero Fahrenheit).

My front brakes were sticking when I first picked up the bike. I had to keep tapping the calipers to get them to release. When I got it home, I took them apart and cleaned the gunk out. They've worked fine since.

I agree.
When I first got the new front-end on the CB750, I rode the bike a few times with only the rear brake (no front). Lets just say it was pretty scary...

Way to go Richard, is this the bike you got from Mike?

You might just force the pistons back in on the brakes with a clamp
and pump them out a few times back and forth and they'll free up.

No the wife Keeps borrowing my Nikon camera adn I dont know where she put it, "i think its in the kitchen in a basket" isnt the answer i wanted to hear.... I'll try to post some up on Sunday when I go to work on it

It is the one i bought from Mike he had said he was having trouble with the brake sticking when i got it though

mostly because i got 750 out of my 800 posts in the open and humor forums, they thought i should be focusing more on the bike than responses to everyone else's non bike posts

not so much asked as... well, its kind of graphic.
but i too feel the depth of your newfound substance and i am glad that our ribbing has motivated you as opposed to driving you off. now leave the trip odometer where it is and dont post again until there are 817 miles on it.
