Merit to this mod? - filling air screws - non stock air filter

could this explain why my cb750 only runs with screws all the way in?
Im using foam filters over velocity stacks ( yes i tried to fit a stock airbox!..but its an "A" with K carbs

i have seen a post somewhere on this forum where the hole was soldered. Maybe Hondaman that recommended it.
I seem to remember it was Dave500 who recommended it. Don't know what type of airfilter he runs.

If youre talking about your 750K7, and it has stock PD carbs...the IMS dont have holes.
If you have the earlier carbs, send dave500 a pm, maybe he can explain more...

you can only enrichen the drilled screws so far,even fully closed they pass air,solid ones give you full control over it,as good as jb weld might be solder is better,i run the full stock air box.

Thanks guys.  If the 45 slow jets don't give me control over the air screw,  I think I'll solder some up!
