Thanks! Yes, the MC and the controls along with the lettering are all PC. I've seem MCs PC'd but I still think only my bikes have the controls PC'd this way with the lettering detail. Forum member Marc aka powderman is the guy to talk to.

I'm thinking about picking up some oil line cores from EBay. Could you remind me what a set of stainless lines cost if I send cores? I'm restoring a K3. It is mostly stock, of course the lines would not be stock, I'm making a few other improvements partly due to our Maui environment such as stainless spokes.

My next project is exactly the same year and colour once I finish the Rickman CR 750

Hey Edward, I'm surprised at the quality of your polishing work considering you said you were new to all this.  Were there any books you read, or was it all online knowledge?  Can you point me to the place in your thread where you took this task on?

Great looking bike.  It's clean enough to eat off of everywhere I look.  I especially like the brake caliper area.

Several scattered online sources and one particular member 73Nancy aka Ryan. He's a professional, and at one time even had a service that he offered here for members. I did detail my entire process in the VJMC magazine. If you're a member, you can still download the issue. Otherwise PM me and I will see if I can get you a copy.

On my K3 work so far I think the polishing is the biggest time investment, then you get to obsess over whether to coat it or not and if so, what with?.
My project is not all NOS, for example, I'm using stainless fasteners in a lot of places. Here on Maui one needs to be mindful of the effects of the marine environment.
I really am envious of Edwards project, absolutely beautiful.

I have found that a good coat of this was works rather well:
I also use a heat gun to melt it into the pores of the metal before wiping it clean.

My K3 did not have all the stickers on it. By any chance would you have any decent photos of the sticker placement? I see the one photo of the swing arm sticker, as well as the oil tank cover and fuel tank. I guess I need the battery and helmet holder locations and anything else I've missed.

Hard to see but here's the battery box warning one, the K2 didn't have a helmet holder sticker so can't help you on that one. I'm not sure if the K3s even had that one.

Not the best pic, but its right next to the ground/negative/black cable.

Looks like the pictures were too large, tried with resized ones now.

Bike turns 50 this month, sad days of winterizing it are here, but hey, for 50 it doesn't look bad ;)

Hey Sean! Glad to hear from you as well, and yes, I'm glad that no one bought this one when I had listed it right after completing, I'd have regretted it for life! Still runs perfect, thanks in a big part to you for riding over and helping me sync those carbs perfect!

And still rides like it just rolled off the line :). That JMR head man, what can I say, you gotta ride it to believe it :D So far nothing but preventive care/maintenance, though I did change out the battery this year, lasted quite a while that scorpion, replaced it with the same.
