As the title says. Anyone successfully spraypainted with 650c and 800c spray paints. Any info I find about subject is 10years and older and info seems outdated. I have no idea how the cheaper 10$ paint holds up. I have the header type that blocks the oilfilter so it has to come off every year.  Would ceracote it for best result buts very expensive with shipping and taxes n fees especially since I'm not sure what color to spray.

yeah that one is about 5 hours away. Mailed them if they sell it aswell. Also patience is not my strongest atribute hehe. Well see how this holds up. there are alot of oil+filter swaps while im breaking in the new engine.

I went with the 800c cheap spray paint. It was coated before but wasnt worn below the primer so i just sanded it and cleaned it with brakecleaner. Not sure how it will hold up! It should harden more as it is burned in later on. Ill see this one as an experiment.

Mine is currently coated like yours was - I'll look for an 800c spray as well.

I've painted my old exhaust with hi-temp exhaust paint, BBQ paint... you name it I tried it. It all ended up flaking off eventually. I also ride in all weather, so that might have something to do with it. Prep was meticulous every time. Now I have the SS and no paint required.

I have a daily driver, 75 750k I use VHT high temp paint, works great

Would you recommend media blasting the header if the header already has a coating on it? Or just clean it very thoroughly, and then apply VHT?

blasting works great, on mine I just sanded the rough stuff, made everything smooth, cleaned well with thinner and applied, great finish.
