British stuff
« on: February 26, 2019, 04:13:53 PM »
Anyone out there with a british bike?

Here is my 1970 BSA Lightning, bought it a while back from a older gentleman. Completely unrestored, less than 3000 miles, even had the original rear tire on it still when I bought it. Only changes made were home market bars and removal of grab handle(since reinstalled).

Very fun bike to ride(the Brits definitely knew something about chassis geometry) despite a wet noodle frame and less than stellar brakes, fairly comfortable for long rides but definitely has some engine vibration issues ;).

Anyhow, show me what you got!

Beautiful bikes guys! Love the Gold Star mike!

Stev-o, so true. Its shame they refused to stay up with the changing times, by the time they decided to make changes it was way too late, they had already lost so much market share they didn't have the money to make the changes they should have made years earlier. Its too bad since what they had learned about chassis geometry that the Japanese took year later to figure out.
