Converting cb650 harness to a cb750 engine?
« on: May 09, 2019, 12:57:09 PM »
Anyone have experience doing this or could give me some guidance as to where to begin? Have a complete electrical and charging system for cb650 but a cb750 engine.

Thank you, now to either buy a harness for the 750 or make one from scratch. Money vs time.

It is for a chopper? Do you need the complete OEM wiring or will an abbreviated version do? If you don't need a full harness I believe there is a DYI diagram available at the 750 Chopper site: http://www.hondachopper.com/garage/simple_wiring_diagram/simple_wiring_diagram.html

I've downloaded that particular diagram and I need the complete electrical system for the 750 engine. I have a complete motor and harness including the charging system for the 650. I'm going to just have to bite the bullet and purchase a whole system and go from there.

You only need a handful of stuff if your motor is complete. Not complicated.

Wires from motor
3 x charging
2 x field coil
2 x points
1 x neutral switch
1 x oil switch

Its that easy.

The honda chopper harness has everything but neutral amd oil switchs plus blinkers. If all you need is head light tail light amd charging + starting the honda chopper way is the way to go
