1970 750 Engine O ring guidance
« on: May 12, 2019, 06:17:51 PM »
My lower end is complete finally and it's time to button the engine up. Does anyone have a detailed list of the size of each O ring needed for the engine?  I was advised not to use the Versa O rings and to purchase silicone O rings. Also does anyone have a place they would recommend to purchase these O rings from?

Thanks in advance.

Before you continue, check with Hondaman (Mark Paris). He had some advice on o-ring thicknesses for newer head gaskets.

There is an excel file with CB750 o-rings in an older post some years ago. Google sohc forums + cb750 o rings
I found my own post where I have attached the file I have found in an older post here.

I have earlier ordered several Viton o-rings from UK for a really good price.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/sealsuppliesuk
Last time (last year) not possible due to eBay charging shipping for each item which is crazy (before ask for total and 1 shipping for 10 different items (bags of 25-50). Within UK no crazy shipping fees. I guess its possible with shipping forward company such as forward2me.

eBay has changed their shipping policy so it is seldom an idea for me to order small items from UK. Now always 11.95 pounds shpiing for small items that before were sent for 2-4 pounds.  Like Loctite, plugs, bolts etc.
It might be an idea to contact them for own website and avoid the shipping scam.

I was able to order all Honda O rings. I don't mind the extra cost.
