MK3........ sharp eyes! It’s the one that was on the bike when I started. Those parts include the front and rear fenders, bars, and lots of other bits. It’s a plastic chain guard with all the extra metal h’ware inside. I polished it up, heated and straightened it, and used it. My goal was to use either the NOS parts the previous owner had collected many years ago, or the original, refurbished parts.

Just curious
Did a 1970 K0 in Canada come with the longer chain guard?
If they didn't, they may have received one in the sprocket retrofit. Many of those kits came with a longer chain guard, too, because the new 48 tooth rear sprocket made a black racing stripe appear on the right shoulder of many jackets if the original chain guards were used and the chain oiler was still too wet...
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

I sure wish I could unearth a K0 out here on Maui.
What a great restoration!

Thanks! I’ve done a few, but this is my favourite and the “keeper”. I know all the history and because the previous owners collected all nos Honda parts (when you could still buy them at a local dealer), it really is a cool piece. Even the new tank and side covers came in HONDA boxes and bags. Up close, you can see the “orange peel” to prove it!

Great job.  I've always wondered how many K0's there are in Toronto and area.  I've only seen one on the road and know of four in collections.

Prospect....... not too many, but I know of 1/2 dozen on the road. I have enough plated and ensured, so this one may just sit for a while.......
