Btw the T joint from older carbs is bigger diameter than these.
Yeah, by quite a bit! The roundtop carb's tees are 1.9 x 7.9mm from Honda, but I use 2 x 8 instead so the ethanol 'wear' over time doesn't make them leak again. The ethanol makes them softer than pure gas did, so they develop a flat edge on the inner and outer surface which hardens when the carbs dry out. Then, they weep when fuel is added again, until the ethanol softens the rubber a bit (about 48 hours or so) and makes them stop it. We are seeing this happen with the rubber petcock valves in the pre-1976 bikes, too. So, I have taken [again] to storing mine "wet" over the winter, with the caveat that I might have a rocky restart next Spring, or might just suck the old gas out and into my JEEP, instead, for new gas then. I fill it all the way up, so as to minimize the surface area exposed to air (since the ethanol primes the open surface toward rust), and try to ride it once in a while on those nice days, filling it back up on the way home.
