1975 CB400f Back on the Road
« on: May 12, 2020, 10:28:36 AM »
Hey guys,

I’ve posted on this forum about my bike a few times but figured I’d show off some pictures of my little jewel now that it’s back in the road.

Here’s on on the way back from having a good bit of work done and me before the first ride of the season.

That is great!
I think it will handle a lot better with a front fender or at least the fork brace that is built into the front fender.
Those 33mm forks can be like spaghetti noodles without that brace.

Enjoy the ride!

Oh she’s a wet noodle right now for sure! PO decided to put these huge tires on which keep me front using the front fender. I’ll probably roll with them until they’re shot or I have the coin to replace.

As far as front tyre sizes go, I can thoroughly recommend going narrow. I fitted a 2.75 front tyre on my Period 5 historic road racer after being advised to do so by the distributor. It flicks from side to side like magic and Tracks very well in the corners, despite having no stabilising support Normally provided by the front mudguard. The mudguard had to come off to make room for the larger diameter disc, but a fork brace is on my wish list. It’s just a matter of when.

Those look like Avons, you may just need to wrestle the fender on. I have Avons
