CB650 rebuild questions
« on: May 12, 2020, 07:05:26 PM »
Been having some trouble with my 650, looking for some help/advice please!

STATOR:
I want to sand down this stator case before I paint it just to clean up the dents and scratches. To make this easier I was thinking about removing the stator or the wire to the neutral switch. I just didn’t know if there were any “do’s and don’ts”. Especially when it comes to installing that neutral switch.

FRONT WHEEL:
Been having trouble taking off this Axel. I would have thought you just out a wrench on each side and loosen that nut but I can’t get it to budge. What do I do?

REAR HUB:
So I got the rear hub split apart. I was thinking it would be a good idea to replace these bearings. But I’m not sure how you get these out.

The manual will answer a lot of questions.
This is the answer. Always have and use the manual.

With the front axle, a wrench on each side should do it, be sure you use one that proprely fits the flats on both the axle and nut.
For the bearings, carefully drill the punch marks, and use a correctly size spanner wrench to remove the retainer ring. If you don't get the punches out, you can destroy the threads.
