‘79 CB650 Caliper Slide Bolt Position?
« on: September 16, 2020, 02:37:52 PM »
Doing brakes on my new to me 650 I removed the caliper slide bolts and didn’t notice which one goes where. There’s a silver one with a rubber bushing and then a gold colored one without. The slide bracket has one plain hole and one hole with a bronze bushing in it. Can anyone confirm that the gold colored slide bolt goes in the hole with the bronze bushing? That’s what I’m assuming but want to be totally sure.

OR, if someone can post a picture of their 79 650 of the back side of the caliper assembly that would be cool. Since one slide bolt is gold and one is silver I can tell from that. Granted it’s not caked in brake dust.

When I say back side I mean from the non brake side through the wheel. You can see the bolt heads from there.
