Are the repro Progressive Shocks any good?

I don't know............but almost any new shock will be an improvement over those originals.

I have some nice OEM original shocks (K1/2 type, 13.1" long). You could do like the Aussies are doing: turn them upside-down, drill and tap a hole, drain the old fish oil out and refill them with modern shock oil. They will still be 0.2" taller than K0 shocks, but have the chrome covers and all.
